Warehouse/Assembly Plant Manager
Acculign Framing Systems is looking for a warehouse manager to help our quickly growing company continue to thrive. We build mechanically adjustable cladding hangers that are used in high-end projects around the world. This is a full time position that is located near the Portland Airport.
Our company was founded four years ago with the invention of the Acculign Precision Hanger; a revolutionary product in the commercial cladding hanging/framing world. This is an opportunity to work with an exciting product in a growing company that is partnering with innovative global companies.
The Warehouse/Assembly Plant Manager will provide direct leadership and oversee the assembly work of others. Understanding of quality control is imperative. You will provide materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services; supervising staff.
Duties will include
Understanding of the warehouse environment through maintenance of receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Complying with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Ensuring a safe working environment through consistent practice of safety programs and procedures.
Controlling inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system (if needed).
Identifying variances and developing action plans to resolve.
Completing warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
Maintaining warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Maintaining warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication, mechanical, analytical and problem solving skills.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Knowledge of material handling methods and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to perform warehouse related clerical duties with accuracy.
Strong PC proficiency with Microsoft application such as Outlook, Word, Excel.
Good knowledge of the English language, spelling and mathematics.
Strength and stamina sufficient to be able to maintain a rigorous work schedule requiring continuous and heavy physical exertion.
Possess a valid State issued driver's license with a positive driving record.
Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
Required experience includes at least 5 years managing and supervising people in a warehouse function. Other preferred experience includes process improvement, tracking expenses, planning, estimating, and researching information when needed.
