Assistant Project Manager

Acculign Framing Systems is looking for a Assistant Project Manager to help our quickly growing company continue to thrive. We design, fabricate, and install a mechanically adjustable cladding support system that is used in high-end projects around the world.

Job Description

  • Assist the Project Manager with assigned tasks.

  • Create and update project schedules.

  • Assist in oversight of the execution of projects to ensure the projects are kept on track, completed safely, and to our clients expectations.

  • Coordinate with and manage project superintendents to ensure equipment, labor, materials, and all other project related resources are in place as needed to be successful.

  • Thoroughly track project activities to provide timely reporting and through communication to outside parties.

  • Provide technical support and feedback to the engineering group.

  • Administer deviation reporting procedures, scope changes and trends.

  • Construct bid packets for bid submittal.

  • Perform site administration duties including subcontractor submittals, RFIs, permit tracking, etc.

  • Track project documentation (RFIs, Submittals, etc.).

  • Perform detailed project takeoffs, using onscreen computer estimating, and prepare estimates for management review, within time deadlines.

  • Maintain/update the project drawing set electronically and physically.

  • Monitor and maintain proper documentation and review products for sustainability compliance with project requirements.

  • Some travel may be required.


Qualifications

  • 1 – 5 years of experience as a Project Specialist/Engineer

  • BS in construction management, engineering, or related field. Field work experience can be substituted for education.

  • Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills

  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to work autonomously

  • Efficiency working both independently and in a team environment

  • Skilled at proactively identifying needs and offering solutions

  • Meticulous, highly organized, and capable of promoting organization within a group setting

  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks in a high energy environment

  • Capable of working with minimal supervision or direction.

  • Flexibility in project locations, work environments, work hours and team dynamics.

  • Proactive and resourceful with the ability to achieve results

  • Expert customer service

  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills (English) including ability to edit for spelling, grammar, punctuation, structure, and formatting

  • Strong MS Office skills, including schedules

  • AutoCAD experience and PE licensing are a plus but are not required

  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of process, numbers, spreadsheets, and calculations
